Job Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Cannabis Cultivation Technician to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for horticulture, a strong understanding of cannabis cultivation techniques, and a commitment to maintaining the highest standards of quality and compliance. As a Cannabis Cultivation Technician, you will play a key role in the cultivation process, from seed to harvest, ensuring the optimal growth and development of cannabis plants.
Responsibilities:
Plant Care:
Monitor and care for cannabis plants throughout the entire cultivation process.
Implement feeding schedules, nutrient management, and irrigation practices.
Conduct regular health assessments of plants and identify and address any issues promptly.
Propagation:
Participate in the cloning and propagation of cannabis plants.
Maintain cloning and propagation equipment and facilities.
Cultivation Operations:
Execute cultivation plans in accordance with company standards and legal regulations.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of cultivation areas.
Collaborate with the cultivation team to optimize plant health, yield, and potency.
Data Recording:
Keep accurate and detailed records of cultivation activities.
Record environmental parameters and make adjustments as needed.
Compliance:
Stay informed about and adhere to local and state regulations regarding cannabis cultivation.
Participate in regular training to maintain compliance with industry standards.
Equipment Maintenance:
Operate and maintain cultivation equipment, ensuring proper functionality.
Identify and report any equipment malfunctions or maintenance needs.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent; additional horticulture or agriculture education is a plus.
Previous experience in cannabis cultivation or horticulture preferred.
Understanding of plant biology, nutrients, and pest management.
Familiarity with irrigation systems and environmental control systems.
Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds and perform physical tasks associated with cultivation.
Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
Strong work ethic and ability to work in a fast-paced and regulated environment.
