Job Overview:

We are seeking a qualified and experienced Armed Security Guard to join our cannabis distribution center. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the safety and security of our facility, personnel, and assets. As an Armed Security Guard, you will play a crucial role in deterring potential threats, responding to incidents, and maintaining a secure environment in compliance with all relevant laws and regulations.

Responsibilities:

• Security Monitoring:

• Monitor surveillance systems, alarms, and access control systems to detect and respond to security threats.

• Conduct regular patrols of the distribution center premises to deter criminal activity.

• Access Control:

• Verify the identity of individuals entering the facility and ensure compliance with security protocols.

• Enforce access control policies to safeguard sensitive areas within the distribution center.

• Incident Response:

• Respond promptly to security incidents, emergencies, or suspicious activities.

• Collaborate with local law enforcement if necessary and assist in investigations.

• Risk Assessment:

• Conduct risk assessments to identify potential security vulnerabilities and propose mitigation strategies.

• Implement and enforce security procedures to minimize risks to personnel and assets.

• Weapon Handling:

• Safely and responsibly handle firearms and other security-related equipment.

• Maintain proficiency in the use of firearms through regular training and certification.

• Communication:

• Maintain effective communication with other security personnel, management, and relevant stakeholders.

• Prepare detailed incident reports and documentation as required.

• Compliance:

• Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local laws and regulations pertaining to security and the cannabis industry.

• Stay informed about changes in security and safety standards.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent; additional training in security or law enforcement preferred.

• Valid state-issued security guard license and armed guard certification.

• Previous experience as an armed security guard, preferably in a distribution center or industrial setting.

• Knowledge of security procedures, surveillance systems, and access control.

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

• Ability to handle stressful situations calmly and professionally.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.

• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.

• Ability to respond quickly to emergencies and navigate the distribution center premises.

Salary: $20.00 - $23.00 per hour

Expected hours: 30 – 40 per week

Schedule:

• 4 hour shift

• 8 hour shift

• Day shift

• Evening shift

• Monday to Friday

• Night shift

• Overnight shift

• Weekends as needed
